The Director of Marketing will collaborate with the Senior VP & GM on the strategic development, direction and implementation of all marketing activities, including database marketing, direct mail, advertising, and retail marketing promotions and events.

The Director of Marketing shall develop a consistent and cohesive marketing plan, theme, product, position and image, which shall ensure that the property capitalizes on revenue opportunities, while being a responsible member of the community. In addition, the Director of Marketing will manage the overall integrated marketing program including advertising (print, radio, TV and other traditional brand building tools).

Creates, implements, and manages an effective marketing plan for the property, working with the Executive Team and/or Caesars corporate marketing to determine current and future objectives. Responsible for proposals and detailed outline for special events and coordinates all event logistics to ensure outstanding promotion execution and success. Develops and monitors the annual marketing budget including event costs to ensure budgetary compliance and operational effectiveness.

DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: Marketing Sales & Community Relations Manager, Guest Services Manager, Marketing Coordinator, Advertising Manager, Senior Graphic Artist, Promotion & Events Manager, Race Marketing Manager

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Advertising or Marketing, and five (5) years of related Marketing experience required or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. At least (5) years' experience in Casino Marketing. Required traits including but not limited to:

o Ability to create and work within a budget

o Experience with successfully increasing customer counts and retention rates

o Ensure confidentiality throughout the department

o Excellent communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills

o Ability to speak to the general public and/or groups of individuals

o Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc.

o Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills.

Must be at least 21 years of age and be able to obtain an Indiana Gaming License and an Indiana Horse Racing License. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Indiana Grand Racing & Casino policies and procedures, and Internal Control Standards. All other duties as assigned by management.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

Must be able obtain and maintain an Indiana Gaming Commission license. Must be able to obtain and maintain an Indiana Horse Racing Commission license.

ACCESS TO CONFIDENTIAL/PROPRIETARY INFORMATION:

Requires access to payroll/HR information, complete access to the patron information/data base, budgetary information, and internal controls for the Marketing areas.

ACCESS TO GAMING FLOOR:

Requires access to all general areas of the gaming facility
